Politics as a service is a concept that should be rooted in the DNA of anyone who wants to do politics. The fact that in reality this does not happen or happen less and less and that the logic of power or the private interests prevail over the concept of common good is a "widespread pathology of politics" which unfortunately can not be free of even the Civic Party. This is not to defend the work of the traditional parties, especially those of Volterra, in the years that showed all their weaknesses. And I am not referring only to those who ruled for many decades, but also to those who made opposition to them, apparently without ever offering a credible alternative and therefore the possibility of a real alternative to the government. In the last administration the possibility of change was given by the Civic Party, which with a resounding election victory had given hope to many Volterra. Hope that has become increasingly fading. Personally though, I never thought that the civil list would forever change the traditional parties nor their ideologies. I do not think before the elections and do not think so now, as I believe many other Volterra. The Civic Party was founded with the intent to change the way of doing politics, encouraging the renewal of the local ruling class by dividing by civil society, a system for alternating old and worn. To stimulate a renewed even those parties that had somehow lost its thrust. No one was asked to convert to non-ideology of "good citizenship" - that simply does not exist - but only to set aside for a while 'time, in the range of municipal administration, their beliefs. Which unfortunately the very people who today hail the "good citizenship" as a faith they failed to do.
